AMS-01 (Haarlem, Netherlands)

This data center has superior growth opportunities for LeaseWeb customers. AMS-01 can easily expand to 40,000 square meters (431,000 square feet). The AMS-01 data center infrastructure has been carefully designed to facilitate growth with available autonomous A+B power supplies, dual generator sets, and backup battery UPS to provide assured continuous power delivery to customers. The current capacity of 20 MW can be expanded up to 40-80 MW of on-demand power.

This data center is fully protected by a VESDA fire suppression system as well as fire resistant walls and design throughout the facility for maximum structural integrity and the protection of valuable customer server infrastructure.

AMS-01 is a data center with sterling green credentials. Its operations are fully CO2-neutral, achieved by significant energy savings, the use of green energy, and investments in worldwide green projects – in cooperation with the Climate Neutral Group – carefully designed to restore the CO2 balance in the atmosphere and preserve our environment for future generations.

Further significant energy savings have been achieved within this data center by using technologies such as Cold Aisle Corridor (which promote efficient server cooling by concentrating and trapping the cool supply air, where it is needed most, at the server intake. By enclosing the entire cold aisle, so cool air does not escape, and the warm air from the hot aisle does not re-circulate to the server intake, we greatly increase cooling efficiency, requiring substantially less energy for cooling); and Free Cooling (provided by feeding cooler outside filtered air into the data center, when climate temperatures are favorable, eliminating the use of mechanical refrigeration, saving substantial energy costs).

In 2009, a report issued by the German Federal Ministry of the Environment described AMS-01 as one of the world’s most energy saving data centers. In the Netherlands, AMS-01 joined a group of 16 leading IT companies in signing the Multi Year Energy Efficiency Agreement (MJA). The MJA aims to realize 30% energy efficiency over a period of 15 years.

As an early member of the Green Grid, AMS-01 is continuously searching for new ways to improve the energy efficiency within the data center environment. The Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is a standard industry metric of energy efficiency. The PUE at AMS-01 currently equals 1.2, which is extremely low compared to the average of most commercial data centers worldwide and AMS-01 continues to improve on it. (The PUE equals total facility power divided by IT equipment power. Lower is better, and the best is 1.0, or no wasted energy at all.)

FRA-10 (Frankfurt, Germany)

Up to 8kW (n + 1) of power is available per rack with higher scalable options. With N+1 redundant UPS-supported supplies and battery backup plus up to 21MVA uninterruptible emergency power, the data center is ready for anything. It could be kept fully operational for three days using diesel generators in the event of a power failure in the national grid.

Sensor-controlled fully redundant air conditioning and cooling systems maintain a temperature of 24°C (+2/-4°C) and humidity at 50% to 15% to ensure the ideal environment for all the data center equipment.

Visual and thermal fire alarms are installed at both ceiling and floor levels. A RAS two stage gas suppression system is installed to quickly suppress any instance of fire.

The outside of the facility is constantly monitored by video cameras and it is surrounded by a high security fence. The site is manned 24/7 and a strict access authorization program is in place.

The FRA-10 facility is compliant with the requirements as stated in the standards for SOC 1, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS. Find out more about the scope of each in the Compliance and Security section of our website.

Green credentials
The data center is certified as using 100% Green Energy relying solely on water power. This helps our customers’ green credentials too by reducing their carbon footprint.

myLoc (Dusseldorf, Germany)

At its headquarters in Düsseldorf, myLoc managed IT AG operates seven data centres with over 3,500 m² of data centre space for a wide range of application purposes and relies on its own independent data centre infrastructure supply.

A special feature of myLoc data centres is Data Centre DUS1, which has its own block-type thermal power station for local power and air-conditioning supply. All data centres at locations are protected against power failures by reliable UPS power supply and emergency power systems (NEA). The individual myLoc data centres guarantee a power availability of at least 99.95% on an annual average. If the IT infrastructure is distributed across several myLoc data centres, the availability increases to almost 100%.

Six data centres and the myLoc headquarters are located at Gatherhof 44, 40472 Düsseldorf.

  • 24/7 video surveillance
  • Tiered access permissions
  • Argon gas extinguishing systems
  • Fireproof room cell construction F120 and F90
  • Redundant air conditioning
  • Ring-shaped connection to the 10kV network
  • Up to 10 kW power connection per square meter
  • Double performance of the supply lines

OVH WAW1 (Warsaw, Poland)

OVHcloud operates a global backbone network that interconnects all our datacentres together. The OVHcloud backbone network is also connected to the Internet via several Points of Presence (PoP) distributed all over the globe. It is built with the best fault tolerance, security, low latency, and traffic control in mind.

The Internet consists of interconnected networks and there is no guarantee of the quality of each network. This is why OVHcloud is constantly expanding its own worldwide network, in order to assure the best quality for our customers around the globe.

  • 70 Tbps global network capacity
  • 38 datacenters implemented across 4 continents
  • 44 redundant PoPs worldwide
  • Global Infrastructure
  • 70 Tbps of global network capacity
  • 38 datacenters present on 4 continents
  • 44 redundant PoPs around the world
